GRID 4 - Corten steel growing frame
GRID 4 is a corten planter inspired by a large asymmetrical rock, created with four compartments for demarcated plantings. Robust in its form, it can withstand the pull of a lawnmower and stands stable year after year. The open bottom makes it a raised bed for summer flowers or vegetables — and the rusted surface of the corten steel effectively deters snails. When several units are combined, they form a decorative cairn — an architectural statement piece designed by Enrico Gualersi.

MATERIALS AND MAINTENANCE
Our objects are made of Swedish corten steel, a material known for its strength and slow, natural patination. The surface develops differently depending on climate and location – moisture, salt, wind and environment affect the color changes and give each object a unique character.
During the first few months, some runoff from the forming patina may occur. We therefore recommend avoiding porous substrates or materials that may discolor.
Corten is essentially maintenance-free. Once the patina has stabilized, it acts as a protective layer that makes the objects durable year after year.
