Designed for architectural outdoor environments
OBJECTS IN SMALL, CRAFTS-BASED SERIES
Arkiv & Company develops architectural objects in very small series, where materiality, form and function are refined in a meticulous process. Each object is given a clear identity and a presence that gives character to outdoor environments.
When not in use, the objects function as strong design elements that mark direction, spatiality and atmosphere in both private and public garden spaces.

NATURAL PATINA AND CRAFTSMANSHIP SHAPE IDENTITY
UNIQUE OBJECTS THROUGH MATERIALS AND TIME
Each object bears traces of time, craftsmanship and the materials that shaped it. The natural patina develops individually in each environment, meaning that no two objects are alike – and that the expression matures beautifully over the years.
Our design language in focus
Selected object
Sculptural expression in small series.

An architecturally designed marshall holder in Swedish corten steel. The tightly bent geometry meets organic, laser-cut patterns that refract the light of the flame and create sculptural glow in entrances, patios and garden rooms. Each piece is produced in small series where the manual craftsmanship and natural patination give each object a unique expression.
SKULPTURAL MATERIALITET
Objekt utvecklade i små serier
Svensk design möter svenskt stål i objekt framtagna med omsorg. Origamiinspirerade former, naturlig patina och ett noggrant utfört hantverk ger varje objekt en egen skulptural närvaro — skapade för att stå ute år efter år.

A seed for something bigger
The idea takes shape
The business grew out of the ambition to bring more architectural aesthetics into garden environments. It began with a desire to collect industrially designed objects for patios and garden rooms – and a realization that there was room for something more form-conscious, more well-thought-out and more sustainable in the long term.

A new direction is taking shape
From retailer to private label
As the collection takes shape, it becomes clear that the work is not about choosing products – but about creating them.
The name Designated Home no longer reflects the whole. A new name is needed: one that tells the story of the process, the craftsmanship, and the ambition behind each object.
Thus was born Arkiv & Company – an archive of forms, materials and expressions, developed in close collaboration with partners who share the same vision.

Identity is clarified
Arkiv & Company is emerging
As the collection took shape, Designated Home felt less and less relevant. We were no longer choosing products – we were creating them. The name needed to reflect the journey, ambition and craftsmanship behind each item.
Thus was born Arkiv & Company. A name that captures the essence of our work: to collect, develop and refine ideas into something lasting. An archive of forms, materials and expressions – created together with skilled partners and people who share the same vision.

Looking ahead
A new collection is taking shape
Work is underway on a new collection where materials, form and expression are further explored.
Follow the process via Instagram or newsletter for an insight into how new objects develop – from initial idea to finished sculptural presence in garden rooms and outdoor environments.
In our world of material and form
